The Bala Lake Railway is a 4 ½ mile long narrow gauge railway built on a section of the former standard gauge GWR Ruabon-Barmouth Junction line. The majority of the line runs along the southern shore of the Bala Lake, where it gets its name. The railway runs from the village of Llanuwchllyn, where the sheds are located, to the outskirts of Bala town. As of recently the railway received planning permission to extend the line 0.75 miles into the town of Bala.

In Train Simulator Classic this route has been faithfully recreated with authentic custom assets, rolling stock and realistic scenery. The route is roughly based around 2018-2019 and features the four Alice Class Quarry Hunslets; Alice, Maid Marian, Holy War & George B. Also included are diesels ‘Lady Madcap’ and ‘Bob Davies’ alongside a selection of coaches and wagons.
